Passionate About Inspiring Others

Hi, I’m Danielle Laffey, and I’ve spent the past 20 years working in the Salesforce ecosystem—starting as an accidental admin and eventually growing into the senior principal architect I am today. My journey into tech began shortly after I graduated college when I took on a public relations role managing email accounts using what is now Salesforce Marketing Cloud. What was initially just a job quickly turned into a deeper passion for technology, and I found myself diving into Salesforce in ways I never expected.

My role as an "accidental admin" at a technology company was a turning point. I became one of the beta customers working to connect Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud—an experience that gave me a front-row seat to the potential of cross-platform solutions and customer engagement. This led to an opportunity to work as a consultant, where I helped other organizations bridge the gap between their Sales/Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud environments. I found a real passion for helping clients use their CRM data in innovative ways to drive business growth.

 

As I gained more experience, I transitioned into Salesforce Professional Services team, where I had the privilege of working with high-value clients. I led complex, high-impact projects, always looking for ways to provide transformational solutions that delivered real value. Over time, my interest in cross-cloud solutions grew, and I began to focus on developing end-to-end solutions for clients to drive more effective customer engagement.

 

In 2018, decided to specialize on Financial Services and Insurance—an industry that, at the time, had significant opportunities for technological transformation. With my previous experience working with many insurance clients through Salesforce ProServ, I felt uniquely positioned to help drive change in an industry that had often lagged behind in terms of technology adoption.

 

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including quote-to-bind solutions to managing the entire digital transformation of lead acquisition, policy admin, servicing and claims. I’ve worked with both B2B and B2C distribution models, helping organizations navigate Salesforce’s capabilities to create more seamless, personalized experiences for their customers.Today, I’m proud to continue pushing the envelope, helping organizations realize their full potential through Salesforce technology. I’m passionate about helping my clients transform their businesses, and I’m excited to keep driving innovation in the Salesforce.

Trailblazer Community Leader

  • I have been user group leader since 2008, the 5th user group globally. I started the Indianapolis group and ran for 13 years.

  • As I started to focus on Financial Services and Insurance, I took over the Salesforce Insurance Trailblazer Group in 2020. I host bi-monthly meetings both virtually and in person to help share best practices and success stories to the industry.
